Nashville Craft Traditional Bourbon Whisk(e)yThe news is filled with the holiday spirits, and three local distilleries have some important announcements to share. Both Nashville Craft Distillery and O.H. Ingram River Aged Whiskey have released new products, and Fugitive Spirits recently racked up some awards at a national spirits competition.
Bruce Boeko of Nashville Craft released his first bourbon whiskey a few years back, and it was a very novel product. O.H. Ingram River Aged Straight Rye Emerges As Next Whiskey Aged Over Water
The new O.H. Ingram River Aged Straight Rye, according to those behind it, is said to have a higher corn mash bill and, like the whiskey that came before, it is among the only of its kind to be “aged inside a first-of-its-kind floating rick house moored on the riverbank in Ballard County, KY. Here, it’s exposed to the climate of the Mighty Mississippi River and its rise and fall. These factors combine to provoke a unique interaction between wood and spirit that isn’t possible inside a traditional rick house.
