MENTAL health crisis care in Hampshire has been highly commended in a national award.
A drive across the county to speed up and improve care for those suffering a mental health crisis was highly commended at the Health Service Journal Partnership Awards.
The awards that took place this week recognises partnerships that have enabled the delivery of better mental health services, putting patients at the centre of care, engaging the community and reducing stigma.
Hampshire and the IOW’s NHS Mental Health Crisis Care and S12 Solutions were shortlisted for the Best Mental Health Partnership.
The Crisis Care service is a partnership between S12 Solutions, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Partnership of CCGs and Hampshire and Isle of Wight STP. ....

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) Augostine Rosales said he’d likely be dead if it wasn’t for the Cornerstone Rescue Mission.
Rosales never thought he or his siblings would amount to much of anything growing up poor with an alcoholic mother in Rapid City and later in Colorado.
He spent 15 years in prison and got out in 2013. In 2019, he became homeless trying to keep up with child support and paying $1,000 a month in rent.
Rosales said he worked at Que Pasa for four years as the cook when things went south. He quit in January. In December 2019, he applied for a job as the cook at Cornerstone. ....
