To coincide with the launch of the new Mac with the M1 chip, Apple has launched a new campaign for Mac in Australia, featuring an all-Australian cast via TBWA\Media Arts Lab.
‘Behind the Mac – Made In Australia’ showcases and celebrates some of Australia’s hottest homegrown creative talents, who are hard at creating art on their Mac, right here at home.
Featuring top local artists, from a range of locations and creative disciplines, the TV commercial, digital and out-of-home campaign highlights the creators artistic output alongside a black and white found image of them working behind a Mac.
A best-selling author has shared the extraordinary response she got from a real-estate agent after asking about fridge space at an apartment inspection in Sydney.
Flex Mami relayed her inspection nightmare in a video uploaded to TikTok, where she claimed the kitchen of the $650 property didn t have space for a fridge. So my lease is up and I ve been looking for a place to live and I ve got T-minus no time to find it, she said, filming from her car. I hate Crocs. I don’t care that people think they’re cool now because
Flex Mami wears them. I don’t care that they’re supposedly comfortable and feel great on your feet. And before you come for me, I don’t care that we’ve previously said we like them – I fucking don’t, and I’m here to let the world know.
Look, I get the need for Crocs on a functional level. I would never shame someone for having a pair at their backdoor that they use specifically when they’re in the garden. I don’t care if they’re worn at a pool. And kids wearing Crocs? A practical decision, especially since you don’t want them dirtying up shoes that are actually socially acceptable.

Okay, I know what you’re thinking. ‘Crocs are tacky’. ‘Crocs are fashionable vomit disguised as a shoe’. ‘I hate fun’. Well, let me break it down for you and tell you one true thing about 2020 and 2021 shoe trends: Crocs are cool again, babyyy.
To the theme of many once tacky Y2K fashion pieces, Crocs have made a massive footprint in the vintage and Depop style icons of recent times. Specifically, chunky and colourful statement piece Crocs, platform Crocs, and Crocs with a shit tonne of camp and endearingly tacky charms (called Jibbitz). But, don’t let me prove why you need to be on the right side of history with this one. Allow some of our favourite trendsetters to show you.
