The JM Group, owner of the Witherspoon Grill, Kristine’s, the Blue Point Grill and Nassau Street Seafood, has raised about $18,000 in recent months with the help of sponsors and patrons to support two community organizations during the pandemic. The JM Group raised money for the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank through an annual meal drive, and raised money for the YWCA Princeton’s Breast Cancer Resource Center through a weeklong takeout version of the annual Pink Pearl Night.

Restaurant workers weigh in on possible end to Ohio's curfew

Subsequently, should Ohio manage to remain below 3,000 hospitalizations for seven straight days, its curfew will then be pushed back to midnight for a two-week period. After that, if the state can keep that number under 2,500 for a week, the curfew would be lifted altogether.
Keep in mind that hospitalizations are a lagging indicator - this means that if these numbers go back up, we would likely need to act quickly to reinstitute the appropriate safety measures. Governor Mike DeWine (@GovMikeDeWine) January 26, 2021
John Barker, President of the Ohio Restaurant Association, says 20% of the state s restaurants were forced to close because of the pandemic. Just last month, 372,000 jobs across the U.S. were lost in the restaurant space, so Barker believes lifting or loosening the curfew is a big deal for communities. ....

The last time I saw Princeton businessman and entrepreneur Jack Morrison was at the gym – one year ago.
A few weeks prior to the gym encounter, I had interviewed Jack, along with Chef Nicolas Demurge, at Jack’s most recent Princeton restaurant endeavor, the French bistro Kristine’s. Located in the heart of Princeton at Hinds Plaza, aka Library Plaza, Kristine’s, thanks to Chef Demurge’s culinary skills and business background, grew into a popular lunch and dinner destination and had just started offering breakfast. My health-conscious daughter-in-law, whose name happens to be Christine, had eaten there and was wowed by the creativity, simplicity, freshness, “no heaviness” of the offerings. The menu also included vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free options – something very crucial to the insane food restrictions of my family members, whose only food option suitable for everyone is Styrofoa ....
