July 26, 2021 MANSEHRA: A woman killed her ex-husband with the help of her brother in the Matsarian area of Pulrah Police Station here on Saturday. Muhammad Sarfaraz was on the way to home when Naheed Bibi and her brother Muhammad Rustam allegedly opened indiscriminate fire on him, leaving him seriously injured. He was rushed to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The h police on the written complaint of one Muhammad Sajjad, stated to be the brother of slain, lodged an FIR under section 302 of Ppc against Naheed Bibi and her brother Muhammad Rustam. Police officials said the slain had divorced Naheed Bibi recently and raids were underway for the arrest of both the accused. Dawn/File MANSEHRA: A mob stormed the Oghi civil hospital and smashed its windows and doors and beat up doctors and other staff members on Friday night for carrying out the postmortem of a boy without his family’s consent. Mohammad Khalid had committed suicide and the family took the body to the hospital for examination. The police booked a dozen of people for the attack. The slain women belonged to poor families in Bannu district and were getting Rs1,000 only per day. They were hired by the Bravo College of Technology, Peshawar, which had made an arrangement with an NGO, Sabawoon, to impart sewing and embroidery skills to local women in North Waziristan. “The women worked for 16 days a month for the three-month project “Women Empowerment.” It was going to be completed on February 24 when the gory incident took place,” said a relative of the slain workers. ....
Four women killed in attack on NGO vehicle in N Waziristan Top Story February 23, 2021 MIRANSHAH: Four women were killed and a driver sustained injuries when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the vehicle of a NGO in Ipi village in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district on Monday. DPO Shafiullah Khan Gandapur said the gunmen attacked the vehicle of the NGO, Sabawoon, in Ipi village in Mir Ali tehsil. He said that five women working for the NGO as handicraft trainers, were driving in a vehicle in Ipi village when they came under attack. Four women identified as Naheed Bibi, Irshad Bibi, Ayesha Bibi and Javeria Bibi were killed in the attack, while Maryam Bibi miraculously escaped unhurt. ....
