Out of the sources that have been presently identified abroad, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on May 24, 2021, has called upon the MEA to take steps to procure 2,30,000 vials of Liposomal Amphotericin-B from Australia, Russia, Germany, Argentina, Belgium, and China. The MEA has also been called upon to procure 50,000 tablets of Isavuconazole. Steps in this regard are being taken by the MEA, the Centre government said in an affidavit. ....

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party Lok Sabha member from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday said he will continue to serve the people and save lives even if thousands of PILs are filed against him.
Gambhir`s reaction came after a PIL was filed against him in the Delhi High Court.
Hearing a PIL against the cricketer turned politician in the Delhi High Court on Monday, a division bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Jasmeet Singh said, We are sure he had good intentions... the way he has gone about it, he has actually done a disservice, unintentionally maybe. This is not done. ....

‘Govt. should mull waiving charges’
The Delhi High Court on Thursday allowed duty-free import of Amphotericin B, used for treating mucormycosis (black fungus) disease, till the Central government takes a final decision on waiving the customs and other duties on the drug.
A Bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Jasmeet Singh added that the importer of the drug would have to furnish a bond stating they would pay the duty fees if the Centre came to a decision that it would not allow any such waiver. ....
