ISLAMABAD: The PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said after such a long struggle, talks about any deal are baseless. While talking to media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), where she came to attend the hearing of her appeal Tuesday, she said she doesn’t know when the government would go, but whenever it goes, then it would never come back to power. She said time will come when everyone will have to be answerable. She was confident that if fair elections were held, the PML-N would emerge victorious in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Maryam said the PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif represented the party at the Swat rally, while she was assigned the responsibility of campaigning for AJK elections. She said the PMLN would not remain silent. She slammed any talk of deal with the PTI government, terming it misguiding. “Why will there be any deal? KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz has denied any kind of deal of her party with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government and insisted the entire PML-N led by Shehbaz Sharif was represented in the recent Swat rally when she was busy with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) election campaign.
In the ruling party there was an intense infighting that would be visible once the general election approached, she said, insisting that the PTI would not be able to come to power again, according to Dawn.com. ....

NY apartment case: IHC directs Zardari to appear in person today

ISLAMABAD: On former president Asif Ali Zardari interim bail plea on NAB inquiry on apartment in New York City, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday directed him to appear in person today (July 7). An IHC division bench, comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Aamer Farooq, heard the pre-arrest bail case of former president filed through his counsel Farook H. Naek. During hearing Naek pleaded that former president couldn t appear before court due to health problems and prayed the court to grant him bail in NAB inquiry in his absence. He said that he had also filed an application, seeking exemption from hearing for his client. Zardari was under treatment in hospital, he contended. He, however, said that the former president would appear before court if it summoned him in person.
