The body of Roberts Buncis was found in a common area at the rear of Alcorn Green in Fishtoft during the morning of Saturday, December 12. A total of three teenage males were arrested, aged 13, 14, and 19. The 14-year-old was charged with murder when he appeared in court on Monday and was remanded to a secure unit in Sleaford, with a provisional trial date set for June 21 next year. The 19-year-old was released with no further action and the 13-year-old was released under investigation. ....

On June 5, 2015, Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust (LPFT) and the South West Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) made the decision to temporarily shut Long Leys Court. A police investigation was launched into five “serious incidents”, the details of which have remained undisclosed. Today, the doors of the NHS facility which would care for up to 16 adults with special learning needs, remain bolted. All patients and staff have been relocated. ....

A 69-year-old, who was a patient at Long Leys Court, died in hospital on June 8, 2015 after the facility was closed temporarily for a police investigation due to three “serious incidents”. Patients were transferred to other places or discharged home around 2015 and the unit remained closed to patients. After lengthy investigations, a final decision was taken in 2018 not to reopen the unit. ....
