Father pays emotional tribute to murdered son

The father of a 12-year-old boy murdered near Boston has paid an emotional tribute to his son and said he does not want “any other family to go through what I have”.
The body of Roberts Buncis was found in a common area at the rear of Alcorn Green in Fishtoft during the morning of Saturday, December 12.
A total of three teenage males were arrested, aged 13, 14, and 19. The 14-year-old was charged with murder when he appeared in court on Monday and was remanded to a secure unit in Sleaford, with a provisional trial date set for June 21 next year. The 19-year-old was released with no further action and the 13-year-old was released under investigation.

Adults with learning disabilities at the now closed Long Leys Court in Lincoln were let down by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, with a new report highlighting “abuse and neglect”.
A 69-year-old, who was a patient at Long Leys Court, died in hospital on June 8, 2015 after the facility was closed temporarily for a police investigation due to three “serious incidents”.
Patients were transferred to other places or discharged home around 2015 and the unit remained closed to patients. After lengthy investigations, a final decision was taken in 2018 not to reopen the unit.

Tributes have poured in after a 12-year-old schoolboy found dead on Saturday was named and pictured this morning, with a 14-year-old charged with his murder.
The body of Roberts Buncis, who would have turned 13 today, was found on grassland in Fishtoft, Lincolnshire, at around 10.22am on Saturday after an incident involving pupils from the same school.
A 14-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder over the weekend while Lincolnshire Police carried out further enquiries.
Today, the force said that the younger suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has now been charged with murder. The 19-year-old has been released with no further action.
