Fairfield council to condemn hate crimes against Asian-Americans, Pacific Islanders FAIRFIELD The Fairfield City Council on Tuesday will consider as part of its consent agenda a resolution condemning hate crimes, attacks and attitudes against Asian-American and Pacific Islander Communities. “In the past year, there has been a marked increase in hate crimes, attacks and violence against the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities,” the staff report to the council states. “The purpose of the proposed resolution condemns such acts of discrimination against this community and others and urges residents to denounce this unacceptable conduct and hate to help keep us all safe during this pandemic and beyond.” ....
