A public hearing at Murrieta City Hall is set for Monday night to discuss razing the Lakeman House at the northeast corner of Washington Avenue and Juniper Street. The home was determined by the city s Building & Safety Division to be unsafe for occupancy and has been red-tagged. It cannot be restored, according to city documents.

The council approved preliminary permits to two firms at its last meeting, but also conditionally moved forward three other companies from which two additional permits could be awarded. The decision on a manufacturing permit was postponed at the last meeting due to the time limitations created with dozens of callers wanting to speak on the pot shop decision. The council postponed a number of other items and will take up those issues as well.
