Rojas is accused of having sexual activity with two 17-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl who were on the volleyball team at Century High School in 2015, Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said. Another potential alleged victim was speaking with police Tuesday, Bertagna said, adding that police were in the process of contacting students who were on subsequent squads. He would have the victims excused from class to meet them to engage in sexual activity on campus during school, Bertagna alleged.
Rojas, who s being held in lieu of $1 million bail, was not yet a school safety officer at the time of the alleged crimes, Bertagna said.

A Queens man riding his scooter was killed by an out-of-control driver who later crashed into several parked cars before colliding with an outdoor dining set up in Astoria, according to police.
The victim, Xing Long Lin, 37, died after a 60-year-old woman driving a 2013 Mercedes-Benz C-300 hit him from behind on Thursday just before 8 p.m., according to police. The driver, who was reportedly upset with a slow driver in front of her on 35th Street near Ditmars Boulevard, then plows into a 2017 Dodge Challenger and 2020 Subaru WRX before colliding into an outdoor dining set-up at Rosatoro Restaurant. The exterior of the restaurant found at the corner of Ditmars Boulevard and 35th Street was also damaged.

A Huntington Beach man and convicted sex offender faces new accusations of child molestation and additional criminal charges that go back to his participation in an elementary school literacy program, authorities said Tuesday.
Miguel Angel Pineda, 25, was arrested last week after three more alleged victims came forward with complaints. Pineda is accused of meeting the girls while participating in a literacy program through the Boys & Girls Club, the Orange County district attorney’s office said in a statement.
