A Huntington Beach man and convicted sex offender faces new accusations of child molestation and additional criminal charges that go back to his participation in an elementary school literacy program, authorities said Tuesday.
Miguel Angel Pineda, 25, was arrested last week after three more alleged victims came forward with complaints. Pineda is accused of meeting the girls while participating in a literacy program through the Boys & Girls Club, the Orange County district attorney’s office said in a statement.

SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 25-year-old convicted sex offender is scheduled to be arraigned next week on charges of molesting three girls he tutored in literacy program at the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana.
Miguel Angel Pineda of Huntington Beach was charged last week with nine felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child younger than 14. Pineda, who is being held on $1 million bail, is scheduled to be arraigned April 8 in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana.
Pineda is accused of molesting three girls when they were 7 and 8 years old, according to the Orange County District Attorney s Office.
