Some recent MS research, including work led by Dr. Genova, has shown that social cognition deficits may affect people with MS who otherwise have no other cognitive impairments. Social cognition, which is required to understand and process the emotions of others, is an extremely important skill set for forming successful relationships with others, and deficits in this area can significantly affect a person s quality of life. ....

Assemblyman Nicholas A. Chiaravalloti and the City of Bayonne have announced the arrival of a new COVID-19 testing site for the upcoming winter holiday season. Chiaravalloti represents the 31st Legislative District, encompassing Bayonne and parts of Jersey City.
The site, in the Bayonne Community Museum at 229 Broadway, will offer tests before, during, and after the holidays.
Expanding testing
“As someone with older family members, I completely understand the desire to see them for the holidays, but also the worry that comes along with it,” Chiaravalloti said. “That’s why I’m happy to have secured this testing site and to give Bayonne residents the comfort of knowing that they’re not putting their loved ones at risk. Mayor Davis, the City Council, and our front line workers have done an amazing job keeping Bayonne safe, but the next few weeks are very important.” ....

The Bayonne Community Museum, located at 229 Broadway, will serve as a walk-in testing site on selected dates between December 19th and January 20th.

Researchers at Montclair State University and Kessler Foundation have received funding totaling $651,997 from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to measure memory-related abilities in individuals with and without multiple sclerosis (MS) for clues to how such cognitive processes are altered by MS. Joshua Sandry, PhD, assistant professor of psychology at Montclair State and Ekaterina Dobryakova, PhD, research scientist in the Center for Traumatic Brain Injury Research at Kessler Foundation, collaborate on the 4-year study, titled Neuroimaging of Hippocampally Mediated Memory Dysfunction in Multiple Sclerosis. ....
