A new monthly songwriters showcase hosted by Communication, Song Space is coordinated by Madison musicians Heidi Forney (of The Bitter Nothings) and Karen Wheelock. The series plans to be focused on allowing people to show their uniqueness through music and their engagement through listening, and will feature songs and stories in the round. Covid-19 hasn’t silenced Texas’s favorite new gunslinger, Ally Venable. Venable’s idea of “spreading a positive message of the love,” as she describes her latest release, is to round up her friends and rattle your speakers with songs that proclaim “better times ahead.”

South Korean AI technology resurrects dead singer's voice

South Korean folk rock singer Kim Kwang-seok has been dead for nearly 25 years, but his fans will be able to hear him perform a new song cover on Friday thanks to artificial intelligence (AI) technology used to recreate his voice. The voice AI system - Singing Voice Synthesis (SVS) - learned 20 songs of Kim based on training tool with over 700 Korean songs to improve accuracy, so that the system can mimic a new song in Kim’s own style, according to the AI company Supertone which recreated the dead singer’s voice. ....
