UAE hashtags that brought people together virtually amid lockdowns.
‘#InThisTogetherDubai’, ‘#TogetherAtHome’ and ‘#HopeMarsMission’ had a positive impact on people amid the COvid-19 pandemic, a new study has revealed.
According to the study, the hashtags had a wide-reaching impact on the UAE’s education sector.
“While there is no doubt that the world came to a standstill after countries declared lockdown regulations in March 2020, technology connected many people, bringing families together despite being apart,” said the study, a copy of which

Cairo: The Arab world has expressed overwhelming jubilation as the UAE made history with its Hope probe entering the Mars orbit.
The UAE became the first Arab country to reach the Red Planet Tuesday when the orbiter successfully landed at the plane after a seven-month journey.
In a gesture of celebration, the Cairo Tower, a Nile-side landmark, Tuesday night lit up in red displaying the phrase the “Hope probe” in Arabic.
Egyptian media, meanwhile, gave massive coverage of the historic event in its news bulletins and primetime TV shows.
Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi congratulated the UAE on the successful Mars mission, describing it as an unprecedented step. “I followed with pride the arrival of Hope probe at Mars, which is an unprecedented step in the scientific research field, promising a scientific renaissance in the Arab region,” Al Sisi said on Twitter.
File picture In an historic day for the nation, the UAE’s Hope Probe Mars Mission is due to enter the Red Planet’s orbit, with the manoeuvre starting from 7:30 pm UAE time.
The Probe has to slow down in a highly complex procedure called the Mars Orbit Insertion (MOI) to achieve entry.
The MOI will last an uninterrupted 27 minutes. Nearly half of the fuel will be spent to slow the Hope Probe down enough to capture Mars’ orbit.
During this time, the speed of the spacecraft will decelerate from its cruising speed of 121,000 kmph down to 18,000 kmph.
The Hope Probe approaches Mars with such a velocity that it will slingshot around it and continue into deep space if it hasn t slowed down to the level where it can be captured by the planet s gravity.

The orbiter will now maintain this captured course to calibrate and test its science instruments, before moving to its science orbit.
The unmanned Hope probe will proceed to provide the first planet-wide picture of Mars’s weather system and climate throughout the Martian year.
Omran Sharaf, said: “MOI was the most critical and dangerous part of our journey to Mars, exposing the Hope probe to stresses and pressures it has never before faced.
“While we have spent six years designing, testing and retesting the system, there is no way to fully simulate the impacts of the deceleration and navigation required to achieve MOI autonomously.
