Sarah Murphy is constantly involved around the Riverview community and now she hopes to do so at the next level.
Murphy announced her candidacy as Councilor for Ward 1 in the upcoming municipal election.
Murphy, a substitute teacher, has been a part of the Riverview Public Library Board for the last 14 years and a chairperson of the Parent & School Support Committee at Riverview East School for the last 8 years.
Her involvement in the community has brought her more opportunities as she has volunteered with the Friends of Mill Creek Committee, Riverview Neighbourhood Watch, and Riverview Art Show committee. ....
