Murphy announced her candidacy as Councilor for Ward 1 in the upcoming municipal election. Murphy, a substitute teacher, has been a part of the Riverview Public Library Board for the last 14 years and a chairperson of the Parent & School Support Committee at Riverview East School for the last 8 years. Her involvement in the community has brought her more opportunities as she has volunteered with the Friends of Mill Creek Committee, Riverview Neighbourhood Watch, and Riverview Art Show committee. ....

Positive cases have also turned up in four more schools. In the Moncton region, Riverview East School has confirmed one case. Families are being contacted about any impacts to learning this week. Caledonia Regional High School in Hillsborough has also notified its community about one case. Both schools are closed today. The closure of Edith Cavell school continue with at-home learning for them and T.E.S.S students. Despite the numbers, Education Minister Dominic Cardy said evidence has shown the safest place for students to be is school. He says they are working to students in classes as much as possible because when they are there they are in a supervised environment with strict health and safety protocols in place. ....
