NMEA Installer Training Scheduled for June 15-19

High demand led the National Marine Electronics Association to add a second in-person Advanced NMEA 2000 Installer class to the June training schedule, the
Trainer Mike Spyros of Electronics Unlimited will lead the classes at Fort Lauderdale Marriott North, 6650 North Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309, (954) 771-0440.
Courses run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (ET) with lunch included and an exam at the end of each session.
The lineup is:
• Wednesday, June 16: Basic NMEA 2000 Network Installer
• Thursday, June 17: Advanced Marine Electronics Installer
• Friday, June 18: Advanced NMEA 2000® Network Installer

IMEA Launches Scholarship Program

The International Marine Electronics Alliance, a supporting organization of the National Marine Electronics Association, is launching a marine electronics industry scholarship,
Two students entering or currently enrolled in a trade school marine technology program will be awarded scholarships in the form of a $2,500 tuition payment to the school. The scholarships include free attendance (virtual or in-person) at entry-level NMEA electronics installer certification courses.
NMEA is inviting member companies to sponsor a scholarship at a value of $2,500 or more to increase the number of students who are awarded.
