Dirt road residents plea for sealed roads ahead of during annual car rally

“It s not pleasant hearing the cars race past and all the dust and metal going everywhere, then we have to deal with the aftermath of our road when we return,” Allan told councillors at a recent council meeting.
“The dust settles on our roof, goes into our drinking water, and we have to wash down our gardens.”

Allan said residents that live further down the road have no problem with the roading.
“It’s just the first 3km that s the issue.
“Our battle is not with the rally club, we just want our section of the road sealed, for the health and safety of our families, workers and others.” ....
