Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be the United States’ first female vice president, the highest-ranking female elected official in U.S. history, and the first Black and first Asian American vice president. The American people have spoken with their voice and vote.
As president and vice president of the Afro American Historical and Genealogical Society’s New Jersey chapter, we are overjoyed to celebrate this major milestone with Vice President-elect Harris, her family and our nation.

As you might expect, it s in the same eclectic, inclusive, aspirational spirit as former president Barack Obama s signature playlists (if not quite as outlandishly hep as some of Obama s post-presidency roundups have been, without Malia and Sasha around to pack it with their picks).
