The 911 caller reported a guy was hiding in the bushes Ninja-style outside the Carver Correctional Center, according to a recording released by police.
I don t know what he s doing. He might be trying to plant some dope on the facility, the caller said. ....

OCPD Investigating Use Of Force Incident During Arrest Caught On Camera


Oklahoma City police are investigating an officer’s use of force during an arrest Thursday morning.
Around 11:30 a.m., dispatchers received a call from a man stating another man was hiding in the bushes near the Carver Transitional Center located on S. May Ave.
The man, identified as Floyd Wallace, was suspected to be having some sort of mental health episode. He refused to answer officers’ questions or identify himself.
The encounter escalated when Wallace began asking for both officers’ names and badge numbers.
The officer, seen on body camera, pushes Wallace to the ground after the officer said Wallace made a fist at him as he was approaching the officer. ....

Oklahoma House Passes Bill Scrapping Use Of NICS System

Oklahoma is already one of the most Second Amendment-friendly states in the nation, with Constitutional Carry going into effect last year and efforts to declare the state a Second Amendment Sanctuary underway, but lawmakers are also pushing a bill that would end the use of the federal NICS system for background checks on gun purchases.
House Bill 1630 would make a number of changes to state law, but the move away from NICS is what’s garnering the most attention and opposition.
“A person with a mental health illness, a person that has been diagnosed, a person that has been, that has a tendency for violence, that person can now purchase a firearm,” said State Rep. Jason Lowe, (D) OK House District 97. ....
