For years, YouTuber Floyd Wallace Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska, has been traveling across the Midwest recording run-ins with police.
He and others like him describe themselves as First Amendment auditors or activists.

OCPD Investigating Use Of Force Incident During Arrest Caught On Camera

Oklahoma City police are investigating an officer’s use of force during an arrest Thursday morning.
Around 11:30 a.m., dispatchers received a call from a man stating another man was hiding in the bushes near the Carver Transitional Center located on S. May Ave.
The man, identified as Floyd Wallace, was suspected to be having some sort of mental health episode. He refused to answer officers’ questions or identify himself.
The encounter escalated when Wallace began asking for both officers’ names and badge numbers.
The officer, seen on body camera, pushes Wallace to the ground after the officer said Wallace made a fist at him as he was approaching the officer. ....

WATCH NOW: Sheriff defends arrest of 'First Amendment auditor' who said his rights were violated outside government center

CROWN POINT â A man who filmed his own arrest last week during a confrontation with policeÂ outside the Lake County Government Center asserts he was exercising his First Amendment freedom by recording on government property and his rights were violated when he was placed under arrest.
However, the Lake County sheriff contended that civilians had called 911 on the man for reported suspicious behavior and officers had the responsibility to investigate in the interest of public safety.Â
Floyd L. Wallace, 25, of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested on charges he refused to identify himself and resisted officers commands when approached by police dispatched for a suspicious person report, according to the Lake County Sheriff s Department. ....
