A GREAT grandma who was the first person in Barrow to receive the Covid vaccine is urging others to have their immunisation. Patricia Lumb, of West Shore Park in Walney, was the first person in Barrow to be vaccinated yesterday morning at the Alfred Barrow Health Centre. Morecambe Bay GPs have begun offering the Covid-19 vaccine as part of the biggest NHS immunisation programme. The latest phase of the vaccine roll-out is being delivered by the GP-led primary care network in Barrow, with the first clinics starting yesterday. Among those contacted for the vaccine was great-grandma of 13, Mrs Lumb. Mrs Lumb, who has asthma and a number of heart-related problems, was identified as a priority group to receive the PfizerBioNTech vaccine, which is being administered to patients over the age of 80. ....
