ELLENDALE, N.D. Dickey County, N.D., is a place of extremes when it comes to the coronavirus.
Last fall, the county south of Jamestown was the state s rural epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. With one of the highest infection rates in the nation, its perfectly rectangular shape often appeared colored in a deep red hue on virus heatmaps.

Bravo to Jamestown Tourism for working to increase visitor experiences at Frontier Village with two planned parkette projects. One parkette project is creating a railroad track loop with railcars for children and adults powered by turning cranks and interpretive panels with the history of the railroad in Jamestown. The second parkette would highlight the homesteading experience and is in the design phase at this time. Funds are being raised for the projects.
