Oakland Triathlon Festival kicks off today including a title flow swim in and out of the estuary and we will have an update on the conditions. There is the international and the spring course so a lot of people being physical on the sunday morning. People running in the city and the triathlon. I am not up to 26 miles. Two or three. More 70s. And we have an issue in oakland . We have an issue and east bay. All of a sudden we are getting pretty busy in the traffic center. The westbound 80 at the maccarthur maze, Police Activity. This began at about 3 48 am when the police attempted to pull over four people in a toyota, and it took off and got on the wrong way to the freeway and ended up colliding with a vehicle that was not involved. The person was injured. They arrested two people, and now we are getting word that a third person may have just been arrested at the scene. Again, this is four people riding around in a stolen toyota camry. They ended up being found here, and that is what this Police Activity is about. Theres also a medic vehicle. We presume that someone sustained at least minor injuries. Westbound 80 is so far not being affected in a major way, but people are slowing down as they go past the scene.
