Port Huron Times Herald There were some younger than usual people at a Port Huron manufacturer Friday, as 2-year-olds Thomas Boyea, dressed as Spider-Man, played and Addison Williamson watched a kid’s show in her dad’s office. Both their families had come to 2005 Petit St. for a COVID-19 vaccination clinic, hosted by P.J. Wallbank Springs and sister company Edison Manufacturing and Engineering. Kroger and the Economic Development Alliance of St. Clair County helped host the event. The clinic was open to employees, friends, families and vendors and 60 people were signed up for vaccinations, said Karen Tadd, vice president of operations at P.J. Wallbank Springs. ....
Dave McElroy replacing BWAT s retiring long-time general manager Jim Wilson Port Huron Times Herald Blue Water Area Transit’s longtime general manager is retiring this month, and officials have tapped a colleague to replace him. Jim Wilson had been with the agency for three decades, according to a news release, after joining as general manager in 1990. Officials credit a list of improvements to the transit system with his tenure, including the development of the $9.8 million downtown Port Huron bus transfer center and growing it from a 21-bus system with 44 employees to a St. Clair County-wide system with 90 buses and a staff of 130. He also separated the county from the SMART bus system, where he’d worked prior, in 1994, establishing the current BWAT. ....
