It will be another drive-thru, first-come, first-served event. The second dose for those who attend will also be distributed at Tom Bennett Park on Wednesday, May 26. The Department of Health in Manatee County is seeking community partners for future vaccination events and hopes someone can work with them to establish a place to continue distribution as county officials turn their focus to hurricane season.

(WWSB) - The Department of Health in Manatee County is seeking community partners for future vaccination events and hopes someone can work with them to establish a place to continue distribution as county officials turn their focus to hurricane season. Christopher Tittel, the spokesperson for DOH-Manatee, said the organization is looking for community partners who would like to team up to find specific areas to dispense COVID-19 vaccinations. “We’re especially interested in reaching hard-to-reach communities, such as migrant farm workers, mobile home parks and others,” wrote Tittel. “Anyone who’d like to partner with DOH-Manatee on this mission can call (941) 748-0747 to learn more.”
