Gov. Kim Reynolds and House Speaker Pat Grassley have acknowledged problems getting the bill passed in the Legislature s waning weeks, even with intense efforts to reach a compromise. Reynolds introduced setting a standard for renewable fuels use in January, saying it would help support farmers. Iowa leads the nation in ethanol and biodiesel production and in growing corn and soybeans, the raw materials needed to make the biofuels. ....

Saturday Hours Returning April 10 as Cobb County Public Library Expanding Operations to Six Days a Week Saturday hours will return April 10 for Cobb County Public Library locations as a first step in renewing six days a week library hours throughout the county, library officials announced Tuesday. Libraries will be open Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm. Weekday hours continue to be Mondays from 10 am to 8 pm and Tuesdays-Fridays from 10 am to 6 pm. The first phase of this round of re-openings will add Saturday in-person hours for the seven libraries now offering limited services – East Cobb, Mountain View, North Cobb, Sewell Mill, South Cobb, Vinings and West Cobb. Libraries currently offering only curbside service – Gritters, Kemp and Sibley - will expand the service to include Saturdays starting April 10. ....

It takes expert stylistic precision to successfully craft a dark comedy about religious fanatics endeavoring to assassinate a celebrated atheist. Filmmaker Harry Michell doesn t quite stick the landing in his sophomore feature, aiming for a complex mixture of comic irreverence and sensitive character study. But he does earn points for creative ambition, and Say Your Prayers, benefiting from a terrific ensemble, has enough entertainingly startling moments to mark its filmmaker as capable of bigger and better things.
