Melbourne: Baby killed, mum in hospital after train crash
A woman is in hospital under police guard after she and her three-month-old baby was struck by a train in Melbourne s outer-east late on Sunday.

Detectives are investigating after a three-month-old baby was killed after being hit by a train in Melbourne.
Dozens of emergency services were called to the scene at Upwey in Melbourne s outer east late on Sunday afternoon after reports two people were struck by a train.
On arrival, paramedics found a baby and woman had been hit.
The baby was flown to hospital with critical injuries but sadly died hours later.
