Hundreds of protestors took to the streets of Melbourne on Thursday night to rally after the Victorian Government announced the state would enter its fifth lockdown.

I was amazed how quickly they were here. police cars were turning up within minutes. the police do have a pretty good record in melbourne, australia, don t they, for responding very quickly to situations like this. yes. . do you remember back in january this year just a few streets away from flinder street station there was a similar incident but six fatalities do you remember that. absolutely. yes. i was there that day. i didn t witness it, but the city was in virtual lockdown again. and police responded straightaway. i was driving through, and the city was in gridlock, basically. and, of course, no link has been made by australian authorities at this point ....
