Suspect in custody in Wyo. homicide, arson investigation

Police officials in the Wyoming community of Torrington say that they have one person in custody, relating to multiple crimes including “Homicide, Arson, and Vehicle Theft.”
At approximately 6:10 am, a fire was reported on in the 300 block of East Valley Road in Torrington.
“While the Torrington Volunteer Fire Department was working to control the fire, additional information was received by our officers that was suspicious in nature,” Torrington Police say. “The fire is being investigated as a suspected arson at this time.”

Officers say they conducted a follow-up investigation and a deceased person was ultimately located in the 1300 block of East 17th Avenue in Torrington. ....

One dead, one critically injured in head-on collision south of Torrington Saturday

CASPER, Wyo A Wyoming resident died and another person is in critical condition Saturday, March 6 following a two-vehicle crash south of Torrington.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol said 19-year-old Tyler Schaub was driving northbound on US Highway 85 when, based on evidence at the scene and witness statements, his vehicle veered into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a Kia Optima. Both vehicles came to rest in opposite ditches.
The driver of the Optima was extricated from the vehicle by Goshen County emergency personnel and transported “with life-threatening injuries” by helicopter to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. ....
