Tow truck driver thankful to be alive after being shot while towing vehicle reported stolen in Garland
GARLAND, Texas - A tow truck driver is grateful to be alive after he was shot while towing a vehicle that Garland police said was reported stolen. Until it’s that time and you’re put in that situation, you don’t know what you’re going to do, Donald Patrick said.
The shooter, identified by police as Carl Lee Robinson, chased Patrick in his vehicle for miles. I think it was about a 30-minute deal, he recalled. Thirty minutes, behind me.
All because Patrick, a tow truck driver of 20 years, was towing a vehicle Garland police said was stolen.

SAGINAW, MI In the summer of 2013, Barbara A. Roberson laid her youngest son to rest in a Saginaw Township cemetery after he was shot and killed.
Last month, history cruelly echoed itself as Roberson buried her oldest and last remaining son beside her youngest after he too was shot and killed.
“It’s a numb feeling. We’re just numb,” Roberson said, speaking with MLive from her home in Texas, where she moved to from Saginaw County about two years ago. “You don’t even know if you’re feeling.”

SAGINAW, MI Police are still looking for the person who fatally shot a Saginaw father of two outside the Kochville Township restaurant he managed. Meanwhile, the slain man’s loved ones have started a GoFundMe campaign to help with costs of his first grandchild’s looming birth.
Saginaw County Undersheriff Mike Gomez said on Tuesday, Jan. 26, that no arrests have been made in the fatal shooting of Donald J. Patrick Jr., 38. Police at about 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 19 found Patrick deceased with a gunshot to his head near his vehicle in the parking lot of Hooters, 5538 Bay Road.
