’We’re just numb,’ say mom, sister of 2 Saginaw brothers killed years apart

SAGINAW, MI In the summer of 2013, Barbara A. Roberson laid her youngest son to rest in a Saginaw Township cemetery after he was shot and killed.
Last month, history cruelly echoed itself as Roberson buried her oldest and last remaining son beside her youngest after he too was shot and killed.
“It’s a numb feeling. We’re just numb,” Roberson said, speaking with MLive from her home in Texas, where she moved to from Saginaw County about two years ago. “You don’t even know if you’re feeling.”

“Donald didn’t have enemies. Everybody loved him, everybody,” Alnisha Jackson, Donald’s cousin said.

“They were kind of dry humor but if you got Donald, you got the jokes,” said Donae Patrick, Donald’s sister.
He was a workaholic, always on the clock at Hooters’ in Saginaw County’s Kochville Township.
Because most of all, Donald worked hard for his daughters, who he loved most of all.
