Sister M. Lenore Schwartz of Lafayette named Sagamore of the Wabash From Staff Reports View Comments Sister M. Lenore Schwartz, assigned to St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette since 2000, became the latest in the area to be presented the Sagamore of the Wabash, Indiana s highest citizen award. State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette), who presented Sister Lenore with the award, nominated her for her years of dedication to the education and betterment of Indiana communities, Alting s release stated. Our community is lucky to have Sister Lenore among us, Alting said in the May 27 announcement.
