Having a supportive foundation with the right people in place has been the catalyst for Inglewood United Rugby Football Club’s (IURFC) premier netball teams’ success. The club will feature a team in each premier division semifinal of the Bayleys-sponsored competition on Thursday and Friday nights in Hāwera. Inglewood netball coordinator Maree Schimanski said not only did teams have the right coaches and management, but there was also depth across the club. Having three teams in the premier grades boosted numbers and allowed the club to cover and pull up players when needed, she said. ....

Centre pass for the first two matches is at 6:15pm. Neighbours Inglewood and Stratford/Eltham play in Hawera at 8:15pm. ....
Taylor said Inglewood will be the toughest competition for the team so far this season when they meet at the TET Stadium in Stratford at 6:45pm. “And we know they have a strong mid-court which we look to combat with some strong one-on-one defence,” she said. Tysons’ shooting circle has been in form this year, with Connie Clement and Amber Ormond shooting at a very high percentage. Taylor credited the shooters and defender Dominic Williams-Riding. “He has started the season in fantastic form and continues to grow.
