ELKINS A $200,000 cash bond has been set for a man accused of sexually assaulting an elementary school-age girl.
Clyde Henry Huffman, 66, has been charged with first degree sexual assault and sexual abuse by a parent or guardian. He is being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail. Bond was set by Randolph County Magistrate Ben Shepler.
According to the criminal complaint, filed by Cpl. S.D. Kyle of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, officers spoke to a woman on March 26 who said her 10-year-old daughter told her that day that Huffman had sexually assaulted her “approximately three-four years ago.”

ELKINS Twin brothers are facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening the lives of multiple people, including a Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Dennis Lee Bennett, 43, of Philippi, is charged with two counts of wanton endangerment and two counts of conspiracy to commit wanton endangerment with a firearm. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only by Randolph County Magistrate Tracy Harper.
Walter James Bennett, 43, of Mill Creek, is charged with two counts of wanton endangerment and two counts of conspiracy to commit wanton endangerment with a firearm, and one count of retaliation against public officers and employees, jurors and witnesses. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only by Harper.
PHILIPPI A Belington man is accused of kidnapping one person and robbing four others.
Henry Monserrat Ochoa, 39, has been charged with four counts of first-degree armed robbery and kidnapping. He is being held without bond at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
According to the police report, Philippi Police Department officers responded to an armed robbery complaint Sunday on Fourth Street in Philippi. The alleged victims allegedly told police a masked man forced his way into the house armed with a 9mm Ruger semi-automatic pistol.
The alleged victims said “their hands were zip-tied or bound with electrical wire from a lamp,” adding that “Ochoa threatened to kill them” while “putting the gun to their head,” the complaint states.
