DUSU urges colleges to clear pending results, give extra chances to submit assignments
The Delhi University Students Union on Saturday requested the principals and teachers of 70 DU colleges to clear pending results and give multiple chances to students to submit assignments for ABE exams.
The Delhi University Students Union (DUSU), in a statement, said it presented its demands to the Delhi University Principalsâ Association (DUPA) as well as the Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA).
The students union also urged that attendance should not be added in the marking of Assessment Based Evaluation (EVA) by colleges, among other demands.

The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) on Saturday wrote to colleges over evaluation of answer scripts.
It asked principals and teachers to ensure that results of certain subjects from earlier semesters that are still pending, be declared. The students’ body also met officials of the DU Principals’ Association and presented a memorandum of demands.
“Principals should take combined steps to form a policy that must be adopted at the university-level so that the component of attendance should not be added in the marking of assignment based evaluation. The result of many subjects of pending semesters are yet to be declared. We request you to kindly direct teachers to check the pending papers as soon as possible,” read the memorandum.

ABVP activists disrupted a Women’s Day event outside Delhi University’s arts faculty on Monday evening and allegedlyroughed up some of those present.
One of the scheduled speakers at the street-corner event was the recently released labour activist Nodeep Kaur, who had drawn international attention after US Vice-President Kamala Harris’s niece Meenakshi “Meena” Harris tweeted against her arrest and alleged custody torture.
Nodeep, a Dalit woman who was also part of the farmers’ agitation, was freed on bail on Sunday after 44 days in Haryana’s Karnal jail. She is charged with attempt to murder at a protest against erratic wages in January.
