Carlisle's Razzamataz host summer of fun for kids at Harraby


RAZZAMATAZ Stage School is planning to host a summer of fun for children in the local community.
The stage school is a making plans to get kids active and build back lost confidence and social skills.
The summer school will be based at Harraby Community Centre and run across the summer break.
During the summer schools, children and their teachers will work on various songs, dances and drama pieces, together with learning about theatre skills in general
Debbie Mitchell, Principal of Razzamataz Carlisle,said: “We are a local business and our teachers and staff are very integrated in the community and understand what the particular needs are. We have spoken to hundreds of parents who are desperate for their children to get back to doing all the things that they love, but in a safe and sensible way.” ....

'Phoenixville's Legacy' celebrated in Heritage Center exhibit


PHOENIXVILLE — The Schuylkill River Heritage Center will present an online introduction Thursday, May 13, to a new museum exhibit that celebrates Phoenxiville s Legacy.
The museum has created a unique exhibit to tell the stories of the many places for prayer in the community and is designed to illustrate Phoenixville’s inclusiveness and diversity.
The Webinar takes place at 7:30 p.m. and you can attend by visiting www.phoenixvillefoundry.org/news-events/ on the center s website.

Of course, everyone is also invited to visit the Heritage Center in person. The museum is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ....

BELFAST In honor of National Poetry Month, two Local Color artists will exhibit their poems alongside their art during the month of April.
Leslie Moore, poet and printmaker, will show poems with her relief prints of animals. Her recent work features birds and is influenced by Japanese woodblock prints. Her poems and prose have appeared in English Journal, Take Heart, The Maine Review, The Catch, Café Review, Balancing Act 2, Deep Water, Wait: Poems from the Pandemic, and Artword. 
Debbie Mitchell, poet and painter, began writing 40 years ago, studying with Jack Grapes and others. Her writing has appeared in truth and lies that press for life, Stone in My Pocket, Onthebus, and others. Mitchell began studying painting in 2009, and her focus has been on oil painting for the last ten years.  ....
