What s under our feet? Ground-breaking study of Dublin s soil and biodiversity this summer

As part of our Dublin City Biodiversity Action Plan, Dublin City Council will support the Tellus Survey, which is being carried out by the Geological Survey of Ireland. For the next 6 weeks sampling teams will visit over 800 sites in Dublin City to collect soil and vegetation samples. Leslie Moore, Head of Parks Services, stated “ For the first time, we will be able to get a good picture of what the soils of Dublin City are – our natural resources that we depend upon for biodiversity, growing food, storing water, pollutants and carbon and giving life to the City. Dublin City Council welcomes the opportunity to support this landmark study”.

I have kept your business cards, your emails and screenshots of your direct messages on social media in my digital and physical archive. I still have a physical copy of (almost) every food section I’ve published. Because of your kindness and willingness to connect, my kids will have memories of being stopped in the grocery store by someone who tells me they love trying new recipes and reading stories in the food section.

Leslie Moore ’77 P’19 named Vice President for Human Resources Leslie Moore ’77 P’19 will assume her role as vice president for human resources on June 1. St. Olaf College President David R. Anderson ’74 has announced the appointment of Leslie Moore ’77 P’19 as the college’s vice president for human resources. Moore, who came to St. Olaf in 2015 to serve as the director of the Piper Center for Vocation and Career, has nearly four decades of diverse experience in law, higher education, and operational management. She will assume her role as vice president for human resources on June 1. “Many members of the St. Olaf community know Leslie from her work as director of the Piper Center for Vocation and Career, where her visionary leadership has expanded the Piper Center’s programs and thus opened new possibilities post-graduation for our students,” Anderson says. “Leslie brings a wide range of relevant experience to the role of vice president for hu
