AfDB Hails UK Parliamentary Panel Report – The News Chronicle

African Development Bank (AfDB) says it has welcomed a report published by the UK House of Commons’ International Development Committee on Britain’s support to the Bank Group. The report was prepared by the Sub-Committee on the Work of the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI). The report recognises the Bank’s effectiveness in responding to the pandemic and encourages the British government to work with it to ensure that momentum is not lost in 2021. It notes “we are heartened by the evidence of concerted and determined efforts on the part of the African Development Bank to mitigate the worst effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and support the response of individual countries.

Women's club plans donation to GRPD

Green River Star -   May 6, 2021 The Woman’s Club of Rock Springs GFWC met on April 20 at White Mountain Library. This was the group’s last working meeting until September. The group will have an evening Installation of Officers dinner in May. Debra Soule spoke for Youth Art Month. She brought selections of student art which were taken to the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs – Wyoming on April 24 for the state convention. The artwork will be displayed with artwork from across the state and prizes will be awarded. Soule will host a reception for the artists and their families on May 11, at the Fine Arts Center i.
