Endangered Child Alert issued for Hamilton Co. teen missing since 2019

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Sunday issued an Endangered Child Alert for Hamilton County teen Daphne Westbrook, who has been missing since Oct. 2019.
Westbrook and her two dogs did not return from a weekend visit with her non-custodial father John Oliver Westbrook on Oct. 7, 2019.
Daphne, a now-18-year-old white female with brown hair and brown eyes, may be with John Westbrook, a 42-year-old white male.
John Westbrook is wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff s Office on allegations of aggravated kidnapping and custodial interference, according to a TBI tweet.
Authorities believe John Westbrook may have traveled to the western United States with Daphne. He has contacts in Colorado, New Mexico, California and Washington, though the pair could be anywhere, according to TBI. ....

TENNESSEE, USA In East Tennessee, school districts are reviewing and reevaluating their current mask policies after the governor s announcement Tuesday.
Governor Bill Lee issued Executive Order 80 on April 27, saying some COVID restrictions could be lifted in Tennessee, including mask mandates. The order applies to the 89 counties directed by the Tennessee Department of Health.
Not long after the announcement at the state level, some of the six counties not ruled by the state health department, including Knox County, announced its mask mandate would be lifted. ....

I rang up a longtime observer of Metro politics to see what he thought about the latest attempt by anti-tax advocates to get a charter amendment before voters that would repeal last year’s property tax increase.
