Two days of competition at the Texas Invite saw the Houston track and field team produce new personal-best and program records, as the Cougars managed to secure several top 10 and podium finishes over the weekend in Austin.
Highlighting the first day of action were two personal-best times, with the first belonging to junior Devin Vallejo-Bannister who clocked in a time of 3:49.40 for an eighth-place finish in the men’s 1500-meter run. ....

The Houston track and field team took part and completed both the Drake Relays and the J. Fred Duckett Twilight on Saturday, as separate teams put on several impressive performances throughout their events on all days.
On the
first day of competition at the Drake Relays, graduate student Meredith Sorensen led the way for the UH track and field team with an eighth-place finish and a personal-best record in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:40.34. ....

Razorbacks jump into CSCAA poll at No. 17

Fayetteville, Ark.- The Arkansas Razorback Swim and Dive team moved into the latest CSCAA coaches poll, checking in at No. 17 on Thursday.
The Razorbacks received 110 points in the December poll, which is good enough for their first ranking of the season. The team put together a solid showing during the fall semester. In the team’s first four meets, the Razorbacks broke four school records, while setting numerous personal bests. The divers took home nine top eight finishes at the Texas Invite and saw Brooke Schultz earn the win in the 1-meter dive. Schultz was impressive all fall, winning the SEC Diver of the Week award twice. The team also set itself up for postseason success earning over 20 NCAA ‘B’ Cut times and/or NCAA Zone qualifying scores. ....
