Northlines 2nd leopard spotted in Bahu Fort area, Operation on Jammu Tawi, Apr 06: At least three persons were attacked and critically injured by a leopard in a busy green belt park area near Gandhi Nagar, Jammu city on Tuesday. However, the leopard was later captured by teams of the Wildlife Protection department by using a tranquilizer gun. Officials told that on Tuesday morning, a leopard was spotted near a park of floriculture department in the green belt park area of Jammu following which teams of wildlife protection department and police rushed to the spot. “An operation was launched to capture the wild beast,” said officials, adding that the staff of wildlife protection department made multiple attempts to shoot the animal with tranquilizer gun and at last succeeded and captured the wild animal. ....
JAMMU: Panic gripped Jammu city on Tuesday when a leopard strayed into a park in the posh Gandhi Nagar locality and injured three persons before being captured by wildlife officials. Those injured include wildlife protection official Dildar Khan, a wildlife department helper Ranjeet Katoch and an 80-year-old resident Ganga Ram. A wildlife official said, “A leopard was spotted by locals in the Green Belt Park and they immediately informed the police. By the time police and wildlife department teams reached the spot, the animal had already injured one person.” It took almost three hours for wildlife officials to capture the beast. ....
Peshawar February 24, 2021 SWABI: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders said on Tuesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government was plotting to create rift in the party. Former MPAs Babar Saleem and Shiraz Khan, Sajjad Khan, PML-N provincial vice-president Dildar Khan, district general secretary Rehan Alam Khan who were awarded the party tickets for contesting the Senate election, but disqualified by Election Commission of Pakistan.
