Gil v Winn-Dixie: Eleventh Circuit Holds Websites Are Not Places of Public Accommodation Under ADA Title III | Burr & Forman

To embed, copy and paste the code into your website or blog: Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) provides that “[n]o individual shall be discriminated against on the basis of disability in the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, or accommodations of any place of public accommodation…” In Gil v. Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc., the Eleventh Circuit for the first time addressed whether websites are included under ADA Title III’s prohibition against discrimination on the basis of disability in places of public accommodation.
