Figures for 2020 show a massive difference in the crime rate across Derby s 17 wards. There were a staggering 28,000 offences committed in the city last year. The highest crime rate was in Arboretum where 6,814 crimes were reported between January and December last year - which is approximately 308 crimes per 1,000 people - much higher than the city average of 111 crimes per 1,000 people and a national average of 73.9 per 1,000 population. ....
