Richland Co. SC (WOLO) Outgoing Richland County Councilwoman Dalhi Myers has been indicted by a state Grand Jury on public corruption charges.
The state’s case against Myers includes allegations that she used thousands of taxpayer dollars for personal expenses.
Myers faced a judge Friday morning. The state has brought forward 24 charges against Dalhi Myers, including Embezzlement, Use of an Official Position for Personal Gain, and Misconduct in Office.
The grand jury indictment says Myers spent thousands of taxpayer dollars on a county-issued purchasing card on trips to Illinois, Georgia, Tennessee, and Greece, and claims she also used the card for a shopping spree at Sam’s Club. ....

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. On Friday, Richland County Councilwoman Dalhi Myers was in court for her bond hearing after being accused of misusing public money for herself.
Myers bond was set at $100,000. She had to surrender her passport and must have no contact with county employees unless it is an emergency.
The State Grand Jury issued 24 indictments against Myers, some of those charges include, misconduct in office, use of official position for personal gain and embezzlement.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) The vice chair of the county council that governs South Carolina’s capital city area has been indicted on public corruption charges that include allegations she used a government credit card to charge thousands of dollars’ worth of travel, including a trip to Greece.
Late Thursday, the State Grand Jury issued a 24-count indictment against Richland County Council Vice Chairwoman Dalhi Myers, accusing her of also using public money to shop at Sam’s Club, Staples, Verizon and Barnes & Noble, buying Godiva chocolates, Slim Jims and funding personal cellphone repairs. ....

The 24-count indictment was issued by the state grand jury Thursday against Richland County Council Vice Chairwoman Dahli Myers.
Elected in 2016, Myers lost this year s Democratic primary election for Council District 10 earlier this year. Her term was set to end on Dec. 31, but Gov. Henry McMaster suspended her from officer on Friday.
Most of the charges against 52-year-old Myers were for illicit use of her county credit card, according to State Grand Jury Division Chief Attorney Creighton Waters. ....
