PRATTVILLE A former youth minister pleaded guilty to misdemeanor child-sex charges midtrial Thursday in Prattville, but only after a series of surprising twists. Rudolfo Luna Chavez, 53, of the 100 block of Overlook Drive Prattville, was originally indicted on felony sexual abuse charges, along with a charge of enticing a child for immoral purposes, court records show. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual abuse after the state dropped the enticing a child charge and agreed to drop sexual abuse charges in a related case with another victim. Both victims were teenage girls under the age of 16 and were members of the youth group. Chavez was youth minister at Open Acres Baptist Church in Montgomery. The abuse occurred at his home in Prattville in June of 2018. ....

Bond revoked for Prattville man charged with murder in death of his newborn son [Montgomery Advertiser] PRATTVILLE The Prattville man charged with reckless murder in the death of his newborn son has had his bond revoked. Christopher Lamar Chase Hundley, 32, faces charges in the case and was out on a bond of $250,000, courthouse records show. Autauga District Judge Joy Booth entered an order Monday revoking his bond, following a bond hearing on Dec. 18 The infant’s name was Adriel Joseph Quinn Hundley. He lived 38 days. Hundley is Adriel’s father. Booth ruled that Hundley’s arrest Dec. 12 on charges of resisting arrest and failure to obey a police officer were reason to revoke his bond. ....
