Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images Now that the 2021 NFL Draft is officially in the books and we’ve all had time to fully digest it, we at Baltimore Beatdown are prepared to give our overall draft grades for the Baltimore Ravens’ nine-man class: The Ravens came into the 2021 draft with several needs and addressed just about all of them with the exception of offensive tackle and interior defensive line. The board couldn’t have fallen any better in the first round and they hit two of their top needs with a do-it-all dynamic wide receiver in Rashod Bateman and a uber-athletic edge rusher with tremendous upside Odafe Oweh. Picking up a hulking guard like Ben Cleveland will bring more size to the interior of the offensive line and I can’t wait to see how they plan to use Brandon Stephens in the secondary. ....
Ravens 2021 Draft: Day 2 Instant Reaction Roundtable Bryan Lynn-USA TODAY Sports Our instant reactions to the Baltimore Ravens selection of Ben Cleveland with pick No. 94 in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Ravens needed to add some talent to their offensive line after trading away Orlando Brown Jr. and did so with Cleveland, a mountainous blocker with an SEC pedigree and pass protection prowess. Expect Bradley Bozeman to transition to center and a fierce competition between multiple recent mid round selections for the starting left guard, with Cleveland the early favorite to win the nod. - Vasilis Lericos For the third time in three picks, the Ravens managed to land not only an excellent player, but landing one where there is a need on the roster. Cleveland is an absolute mountain of a man at 6-foot-5, 357 pounds. The Ravens are excellent in the development of the offensive lineman and I bet Ravens offensive line coach Joe D’Alessandris is grinning from ear-to-ear w ....
Ravens 2021 Draft: Day 3 Instant Reaction Roundtable Our instant reactions to the Baltimore Ravens selection of Tylan Wallace with pick No. 131 in the DeCosta catches a sliding prospect with Wallace, a field stretcher who brings Steve Smith-esque competitiveness in contested catch situations. Combined with Sammy Watkins and Rashod Bateman, Wallace completes a massive transformation of the Ravens receiver room that is now one of the league’s most talented and deepest. Perhaps DeCosta was not as hopeful about the young returning receivers as he insinuated during his pre-draft press conference. Or maybe the value of Wallace was too great to pass on in the 4th round. Either way, the Ravens lack of receiver investment narrative should be promptly put to bed. ....

Aiken/Getty Images In light of the Ravens officially trading Orlando Brown Jr. to the Kansas City Chiefs this afternoon, some of our Baltimore Beatdown staff share their thoughts: I’m torn on this trade. On one hand, the Ravens got some value for a player that would be gone in a year anyway. On the other hand, the biggest bully in the AFC (who Baltimore has been unable to beat) just got better on paper. Eric DeCosta can win me over with good use of these picks, however. This gives the Ravens ammunition to be flexible early in the draft. Even with the expected signing of Alejandra Villanueva, there is still a big hole at RT that needs to be addressed in the draft, whether that be a player like Teven Jenkins in the first round, or more of a developmental player on Day 2. ....
