Austin School Board offers top job to Byron superintendent Contract negotiations to begin right away. After conducting a series of interviews with candidates, the Board voted Thursday to offer the job to Dr. Joey Page, current superintendent at Byron Public Schools. “The consensus was that Dr. Page has the qualifications and skills to move the school district forward,” says Board Chair Kathy Green. “We feel he will come into the position with an open mind, ready to listen, and committed to finding the best direction for the district, and we look forward to working with him.” ....
KAAL-TV Created: February 18, 2021 07:16 PM (ABC 6 News) - Thursday, the Austin School Board voted to select Dr. Joey Page, Superintendent of Byron Public Schools, as the district’s new superintendent. “The consensus was that Dr. Page has the qualifications and skills to move the school district forward. The school board will be conducting contract negotiations with Dr. Page, and if those negotiations are successful, a contract is expected to be approved by the School Board at a February 22, 2021 regular school board meeting. ....
Created: February 10, 2021 10:37 PM (ABC 6 News) - Voters in Byron are going back to the polls in May. The Byron Public School Board approved a new bond referendum Monday asking for $41 million. Classrooms in Byron s high school and primary school are almost full. This year, school officials predict the high school will be over capacity and they expect enrollment to grow even more. One study predicted student enrollment could grow up to 418 students by 2030. Enrollment between 2010 and 2020 grew by 486 students. You get a great education here with tremendous staff, Dr. Joey Page, Byron Public Schools superintendent said. Page said the proximity to Rochester and its open enrollment opportunity has contributed to the growth. ....
